Small Disappointments

I feel like there is a mountain of small disappointments lurking around me. Why is it hard to let go of some of them? Is it nostalgia? “Oh, yeah, I was really disappointed in that. Ah, well.” Or is it to reflect on our self-righteousness? “Too bad they weren’t able to follow through.” Perhaps it’s to remind ourselves that we’ve set unrealistic expectations or maybe we don’t communicate clearly enough.

Regardless, disappointments, they are tricky little things.
