Nesting

After a relatively productive morning I took myself out into the woods, and this time I remembered to take my fully charged camera. The first time in a long time — usually I just bring my phone — but I had been so frustrated lately with trying to get any decent wildlife photos… There’s a pileated woodpecker around and I am determined to get a photo!

Today it was all about chickadees though. A whole posse of them followed me on my walk, making tons of noise and alerting everyone to my presence (not that anyone could have missed my swearing as I slide in mud and crashed through snow and ice). This fellow was super busy gathering nesting materials. He ignored all my suggestions.

When I got back to the house I did a little nesting as well. I made lasagna. Connected with a few friends over text and Messenger. I made brownies and took out the trash and did the dishes. The hours and days are flowing by in a very undefinable manner, but I think I am finally finding a groove. Stay well, everyone!
